Legends of Slots
Legends of Slots is a casual game that turns spinning reels into a relaxed little ritual. You tap to set the reels going, match themed symbols like swords, shields and tiny dragons, and slowly unlock a gallery of legend characters. It's the kind of thing you pick up for five minutes and realize twenty have gone by.
The controls couldn't be simpler. One big button, a few menus for your collection, and clear animations that tell you what just happened. Everything is readable even on a small screen, and the game never rushes you. We especially liked how each unlocked legend adds a new visual theme to the reels, so the screen keeps changing as you progress.
Our week with it was mostly pleasant. The pacing is gentle, the art is colorful without being noisy, and the soundtrack loops nicely in the background. It isn't deep and doesn't pretend to be, but as a wind-down game between harder titles it earned a spot on our test phones.
