Defense layouts that hold in Ironcrest Command

Defense layouts that hold in Ironcrest Command

Ironcrest Command is far more forgiving once you stop treating your base like a decoration and start treating it like a problem to solve. Our early layouts were chaos, and we paid for it.

The key insight was funneling. Design your walls so attackers are pushed through a narrow lane where your towers overlap. A single long corridor lined with defenses did more work than a dozen scattered turrets.

Keep your most valuable buildings near the center, protected by layers. Attackers that burn their time chewing through outer walls rarely have anything left for the core. We lost far fewer raids once we committed to this.

Scout before you attack, too. The game gives you the tools to study enemy bases, and five minutes of planning saved us from several disasters. Patience really is the whole strategy here.

It's not a game you win with reflexes. It's a game you win with a good map and a clear head.
